Matataki is the first Sega Homestar Planetarium which lets the stars twinkle softly while projecting an authentic heaven view into your room. This creates a 3D image effect while projecting the stars at the same time. Matataki has built-in speakers with natural sounds from the sea and the mountains. Enjoy a perfect and romantic vision of the night sky. Fall asleep under twinkling stars with the timer on. While following the original Sega Homestar Planet design the Matataki has its own fresh appearance.

Twinkling is made possible by adding a second disc, the effect plate, under a special star disc. Next you turn on the diurnal motion (rotation) function. After starting the projection your eyes and mind will relax and focus. After a short time, you will see the realistic twinkling effect as if you are watching the stars in the universe from planet earth. This effect gives the projection more depth (3D).
